🎮 ABG Acid-Base Balance Challenge

Choose your difficulty level and test your diagnostic skills!

🎮 How to Play

Goal: Analyze patient symptoms, clinical signs, and arterial blood gas (ABG) results to correctly diagnose acid-base disorders. Each level has 10 questions. Collect as many lungs and kidneys as you can!

Rewards & Penalties:

  • Correct respiratory diagnosis: Earn 1 lung 🫁
  • Correct metabolic diagnosis: Earn 1 kidney 🫘
  • Correct normal ABG: Earn 1 lung AND 1 kidney
  • Wrong respiratory diagnosis: Lose 1 lung (if you have any)
  • Wrong metabolic diagnosis: Lose 1 kidney (if you have any)
  • Any mistake involving Normal ABG: Lose 1 lung AND 1 kidney (if you have any)
  • This includes saying it’s normal when it isn’t, or saying it isn’t normal when it is!

Tip: Look at the pH first to determine if it’s acidosis (low) or alkalosis (high), then check if PaCO₂ or HCO₃⁻ is the primary cause!
