Oral Mucosa Slide 115-3

Photomicrograph of oral mucosa at high magnification: Layer of polygonal cells with dark edges and light interiors, stained reddish-brown, sits atop a layer of irregular fibrous connective tissue stained blue. The brown cellular layer undulates with cells decreasing in size.

A microscopic image of oral mucosa, featuring layers of tightly packed cells appearing in shades of brown and red. Below this layer is a region of blue-colored connective tissue. The texture and organization of the cells are visible in great detail. Reddish-brown shades, indicate an area of close cellular arrangement, emphasizing its stratified squamous epithelial nature.
