Adductor longus Origin

The adductor longus muscle originates from the pubic bone. It specifically originates from the pubic crest. The pubic crest is a ridge on the superior border of the pubic bone.

Adductor longus Insertion

The muscle inserts into the middle third of the linea aspera. This is a ridge on the posterior surface of the femur (thigh bone). The insertion helps to stabilize the femur during movements of the hip joint.
