Trachea Slide 126-4

Microscopic view of trachea tissue showing submucosal glands and the pseudostratified columnar epithelium with cilia. The light pink tissue reveals clusters of gland cells with darker nuclei in the bottom left, a middle layer with a pink fibrous appearance, and ciliated, columnar epithelial cells on the right side.

High-magnification light microscopy of the trachea wall. The image shows, from left to right, cartilage that appear as purple-pink bubbles. A line of dark purple submucosal glands which appear segmented, then a region of connective tissue which appears as strings of light pink fibers. The right edge shows the pseudostratified columnar epithelium tissue. All tissues have been stained and appear in shades of magenta.
