Rhomboid major Origin

The rhomboid minor muscle originates from the spinous process of the C7 and T1 vertebrae.

Rhomboid major Insertion

Both rhomboid major and minor muscles insert onto the medial border of the scapula. The rhomboid major inserts from the root of the spine of the scapula to the inferior angle. The rhomboid minor inserts slightly above it.
